Jarret Stoll wasn’t the smartest guy in Las Vegas on Friday. And that’s saying something.
The Los Angeles Kings center was busted while trying to smuggle cocaine and Ecstasy into the Wet Republic pool at MGM Grand, according to TMZ, which obtained the Las Vegas police report Monday. The police report stated Stoll had 3.3 grams of cocaine and 8.1 grams of Ecstasy stuffed in his board shorts when he was arrested around 4:30 p.m. while going through security on his way to a pool party at the resort.
According to TMZ, a posted sign warned all guests would be patted down on their way inside, but that apparently wasn’t enough to prompt Stoll to clean out his pockets. A security guard discovered a “pink baggie with white powder and numerous gel-caps with an off-white powder inside consistent with the drug ‘molly’ (the street name for Ecstasy),” according to TMZ.
The 32-year-old was released on $5,000 bond late Friday from the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.
Stoll has a court date July 1 — the same day he’s scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent.
