admin-ajaxMajor League Baseball is on a mission to determine each organization’s “Franchise Four.”

MLB.com recently started a special contest in which people are asked to vote for the four “most impactful players who best represent the history of each franchise.” The players from each group receiving the most votes will be revealed at this year’s MLB All-Star Game on July 14.

The Boston Red Sox, who are rich in history, feature one of the most intriguing votes, as they have eight viable candidates looking to punch their tickets to MLB.com lore.

Let’s examine the eight Red Sox candidates selected by MLB.com and determine why each should be considered for induction into Boston’s “Franchise Four.”
