Vince Wilfork has one more duty to fulfill in New England before he leaves for the Houston Texans.

The former Patriots defensive tackle will deliver the New England Institute of Technology’s commencement address on Sunday, May 3, according to a press release from the school. Wilfork will receive an honorary doctor of humane letters “for his accomplishments and his work to improve the lives of others.”

The Patriots declined to pick up Wilfork’s contract option in 2015, making him an unrestricted free agent. He signed a two-year, $9 million contract with the Texans last month.

Wilfork originally was drafted No. 21 overall by the Patriots in the 2004 NFL draft. He bookended his Patriots career with Super Bowl victories.
