LeBron James claims he’s currently the best player in the world, but Michael Jordan might have something to say about the King’s position on the all-time list.
Exhibit A: This 1999 video of Jordan doing exactly what you’d expect — dominating and embarrassing everyone in his path.
Between Jordan’s second and third retirements, then-Chicago Bulls guard Corey Benjamin challenged His Airness to a game of one-on-one, and an absolute bloodbath ensued. Cue the massacre!
Well, that was far too easy.
Benjamin woke up a sleeping giant, and that giant fee-fi-fo-fummed his way to a predictable victory.
Through all of Jordan’s trash-talking and improbable buckets — improbable for a normal human, anyway — the match was never close. We’re sure Benjamin regretted challenging the greatest basketball star to ever grace the court.
