Penn State’s 258-Pound Kicker Destroying Returner Is A Sight To Behold

The average college football kicker isn’t much to fear for opposing kick return units. Joey Julius isn’t your average kicker, however.

The Penn State redshirt sophomore tips the scales at 258 pounds, making him one of the biggest kickers you’ll see at any level. And on Saturday, he put his weight to good use.

When Kent State returner Kavious Price found a seam down the right sideline in the second quarter, he thought he had room to run — until Julius came flying in to deliver an absolutely devastating hit.

We’ve seen kickers make tackles before, but we’re not sure we’ve seen a leveling of this magnitude.

Julius’ hit obviously whipped the Nittany Lions’ bench, as well as the massive crowd at Beaver Stadium, into a frenzy. Penn State had plenty more to cheer about, too, as it went on to win 33-13.
