Vick Added to Eagles Roster, Mr. Kendra Baskett Released The Eagles removed Michael Vick from their exempt list and added him to the 53-man roster on Tuesday, which means he is now allowed to practice with the team and will do so beginning on Wednesday, according to ESPN.com.

Of course, someone had to be released to make room for him, and this time, it was Hank Baskett. (Beyond the fact that the Eagles are now down one receiver, it means that Kendra is now the primary breadwinner in the family. This should make for some compelling E! television.)

Starting Wednesday, Vick and newly acquired Jeff Garcia will be the primary components of the quarterback rotation while Donovan McNabb nurses a cracked rib. He could be unavailable for Sunday's game against New Orleans.

Now the Baskett is gone, Philadelphia is carrying six receivers going into Week 2. The Eagles selected two wideouts in the 2009 draft — Jeremy Maclin and Brandon Gibson — which made Baskett expendable. Philadelphia had allegedly been trying to trade him before he was released.

Vick is not eligible to see any game action until Week 3. He was suspended for the first two regular season games as part of his punishment stemming from dogfighting charges.
