Last week it was the NFL that caused MLB to change its schedule for the Twins-Tigers one-game playoff because of the Vikings-Packers Monday Night Football game. But this time, MLB is forcing the NFL to work around its plans, mainly because it involves the World Series.

The Giants-Eagles game on for Nov. 1 in Philadelphia was originally scheduled to be played a 4:15 p.m. However, with the Phillies advancing to the NLCS and just four wins away from returning to the World Series, the football game has been moved to 1 p.m. due to a potential conflict.

That Sunday would be Game 4 of the World Series if the Phillies are to make it, and the start time of the game is set for 8:30 p.m. across the street from the Giants-Eagles game. The time switch of the NFL game will allow for a more manageable situation if the Fall Classic returns to Philadelphia.
