In what might be the only good news to come out of the Patriots' disappointing 20-17 loss to the Broncos on Sunday, left tackle Matt Light seems to have avoided any serious damage to his knee or ankle.

Light was injured in the fourth quarter on a passing play that left him lying on the ground. But while the severity of the injury didn't seem promising, Light did not suffer any significant ligament damage to his knee or ankle, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on his Twitter page.

Light needed help off the field and to the locker room. He did not return and was wearing a knee brace following the game, and he was using crutches on Monday at Gillette Stadium.
