Can't wait to get your hands on the roster for the 2010 U.S. Olympic men's ice hockey team? The big announcement is only a couple of months away.

USA Hockey, in cooperation with NBC Sports and the NHL, announced on Tuesday that the 23-man roster will be unveiled during NBC's broadcast of the 2010 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on Jan. 1, when the Bruins take on the Flyers at Fenway Park in their 1 p.m. ET New Year's Day matchup.

The U.S. men's ice hockey team will compete at the XXI Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C., beginning on Feb. 16. The gold-medal game will take place on Feb. 28. The U.S. kicks off its pursuit of the gold against Switzerland.

Goaltender Tim Thomas was the only member of the Bruins to participate in Team USA's 34-player orientation camp in August. He is expected to receive serious consideration for one of three goalie spots on the U.S. roster.

The final roster will include 20 skaters and three goalies. Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Ron Wilson will serve as the Americans' head coach, with Scott Gordon of the Islanders and John Tortorella of the Rangers assisting him.
