B.J. Crombeen Has Close Encounter With a Skate Blade If there’s any way to make a Blues-Oilers game any worse than it already is, it would be to have one of the players laying in a pool of his own blood.

That was almost the case earlier this week as Edmonton’s B.J. Crombeen got up close and personal with Ryan Kesler‘s skate blade.

As the NBA All-Star Game approaches, one can’t help but recall Dee Brown‘s performance nearly 20 years ago. One NESN.com reader will never forget and has the shoes to help him remember.

“Dee,
you’re still great. I remember a shot you took toward the end of your
Celtics career. Back from injury, yet again, the shot went up from the
corner, hit the back of the rim and the crowd deflated. The ball
bounced high up and then, somehow, went in!

Thanks for the memories, too bad about the injuries.

P.S. yes I had those shoes after you dunked… no I still can’t touch the rim.”
