Fall Classic Hero Hideki Matsui Gets Keys to Japan When you’re a World Series MVP, you get your fair share of perks. For Hideki Matsui, that apparently means taking over Japan’s construction companies.

Matsui was in Japan to visit a factory, and he was given a hero’s welcome. Looks like he may have found a post-baseball career.

Comment of the day

There are realistic expectations, there are unrealistic expectations, and for one Red Sox fan, there are impossible, out-of-this-world expectations.

“so…Pujols may not re-sign with the Cards next year. I say drop Papelbon, free up about 8 mil (give Bard $1.5 mil), plus the $9,000,000 coming off the books to Lugo, add the $12.5 mil to Papi and the $12 mil to Lowell, thats $41,500,000 (12 + 12 + 9 + 8), and give Pujols $200,000,000 over 5 years. If A-Rod is worth $33,000,000/year, Pujols is worth $40mil/year for 5 years. Please, oh please let it happen!!”
