Jason Bay has passed his physical and will be formally introduced as a member of the New York Mets on Tuesday, according to SNY.

The physical was the final step in the Mets' acquiring Bay, who has played in 145 or more games in each of the last five seasons. That run includes the 2005 season, in which Bay played in all 162 games.

Details of the contract were also released on Monday, with Ed Price of AOL Fanhouse reporting via Twitter that Bay is due $63 million over four years, with a $17 million option for a fifth year. That option has a $3 million buyout.
