Cleveland Browns Ship Brady Quinn to Denver The Cleveland Browns' quarterback overhaul is complete now that Brady Quinn has been traded to the Denver Broncos. According to FoxSports.com, Quinn was swapped for running back Peyton Hillis and two conditional draft picks.

The Browns recently signed Jake Delhomme to a two-year pact and traded for ex-Seahawk Seneca Wallace, bringing an end to the Quinn-Derek Anderson era.

Quinn was the No. 22 overall pick in 2007 out of Notre Dame and played behind Anderson his first year. Quinn got into three late-season games in 2008 before the two QBs effectively split time in 2009. After stumbling to a 5-11 record, new team president Mike Holmgren and coach Eric Mangini, who just completed his first year in Cleveland, clearly felt that Anderson and Quinn's time in Cleveland had run out.

Quinn joins a crowded Broncos quarterback situation. He'll have to beat out Tom Brandstater and Chris Simms for the backup spot to Kyle Orton. Quinn couldn't have asked for a better situation in which to land, as coach Josh McDaniels' offense is similar to Quinn's former scheme at Notre Dame. Furthermore, there's no major impediment to Denver's starting spot, although it's likely that Orton will begin the year as the starter.

Hillis was underutilized in Denver after averaging five yards per carry and six total touchdowns (one on a reception) as a rookie in 2008. He should become part of a two-man running back rotation in Cleveland alongside Jerome Harrison.
