Jerry Remy, Don Orsillo Excited to Learn Aerosmith, J. Geils Band Will Perform at Fenway Rock history will be made on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Fenway Park, when Aerosmith and The J. Geils Band perform in concert on the same stage for the first time ever.

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and J. Geils Band lead singer Peter Wolf announced the concert during Wednesday's Red Sox-Yankees game at Fenway, live in the NESN broadcast booth with Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo.

The J. Geils Band and Aerosmith both originated in Boston and have been legendary fixtures on the rock music scene since 1967 and 1970, respectively. Aerosmith is now one of the top two best-selling American bands in history.

The concert will begin at 6 p.m. on Aug. 14. Gates will open an hour beforehand at 5 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 17, at 10 a.m. You can purchase tickets online at LiveNation.com, by phone at 1-800-514-3849 or at the Orpheum Theatre box office Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Prices range from $55 to $175.
