As it turns out, postgame news conference that air live on television are not the greatest venue for expressing your displeasure with the officiating of an NBA basketball game.

At least that's the case for Kevin Garnett, who, according to Yahoo's Mark J. Spears, was fined $25,000 for his comments after the Celtics' loss to the Thunder on Wednesday night.

Garnett was upset as he believed Kevin Durant benefited from the officiating.

"I thought we were playing Michael [bleeping] Jordan tonight, the way he was getting the whistle," Garnett told reporters. "Durant damn near shot more free throws than our whole team."

He was right — Durant shot 15 free throws, while the Celtics shot just 17 as a team.

It is the fifth time this season that a member of the Celtics has been fined. Rasheed Wallace was twice fined for criticizing officials, for a total of $65,000. Glen Davis was fined in January for shouting an expletive at a fan in Detroit, and Doc Rivers was fined $25,000 for his actions after being ejected in Atlanta.
