Joe Colborne Impressed By Huge Crowd at Final Day of Development Camp Each day this week, NESN.com shares Joe Colborne's firsthand
experience from development camp. On Monday, Colborne discussed "The Program," which helped
develop camaraderie and, of course, fitness. On Tuesday, Colborne shared
the intense training that he and his teammates had to
do in a swimming pool.On Wednesday, Colborne talked about being a "super vet" at camp. On Thursday, he talked about skating with some kids with Tyler Seguin.

Below is his story of Day 5.

Day 5 — Last Day

Looking back, going to get medicals and testing on Day 1 seems like an eternity ago, but now that it is the last day, I can hardly believe it is over already. I'll try to keep this day short, as I would like to make some closing remarks, too.

We skated and had our longest scrimmage, and don't ask who won.

I have to comment on the crowd that showed up. We players were in shock at the turnout and I would just like to thank everyone who made the trip out to watch us this week. Your presence was one of the highlights of the whole camp, and really brought the energy level up in the whole building!

I would also like to thank Peter Chiarelli, Don Sweeney and everyone else who helped plan it. Special thanks goes out to the equipment staff for driving us around in the vans all week and babysitting us! And, finally, as much as we hated you at the time, thanks to our instructors at "The Program" for pushing us to be better than what we ever thought we could be. Overall, it was a great week for all of us and I know we players are grateful and better off for it.
