Which Club Will You Be Rooting For in Wednesday Night's Football at Fenway Match? Fans of Sporting CP and Celtic FC have a lot of reasons to cheer. The teams have a combined 60 league championships across a total of 226 years of history.

Celtic has won 42 Scottish Premier League titles and 34 Scottish Cups (league titles are regular-season crown, while Cups are won in year-long bracket tournaments). The team has thoroughly dominated Scottish football along with crosstown rivals Glasgow Rangers. The two clubs have won 95 of the possible 110 league championships since 1891, an almost impossible figure.

Celtic's greatest achievement, though, likely came when the team won the European Cup in 1967.

Why else would you cheer for Celtic? They feature World Cup participants Cha Du-Ri and Ki Sung-Yong of South Korea as well as striker Georgios Samaras of Greece. The captain of the team even shares his name with one of Massachusetts' senators, Scott Brown.

"The Bhoys," which is really just a funny Scottish way of saying "boys," are known for having some of the most passionate fans in the world.

Sporting FC is often incorrectly called Sporting Lisbon to differentiate them from their rivals in Portugal's other major city, Porto, but the "Lions" have a few things in common with Celtic. Both usually wear green and white stripes, and both have been European champions, withh Sporting FC taking homing the title in 1963.

Sporting features Portugal World Cup stars Liedson, Maniche and Pedro Mendes and is known for raising the best native talent in the country. For example, Cristiano Ronaldo spent his youth years at the club before being bought by Manchester United.
