After two weeks at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., Roush Fenway Racing co-owner Jack Roush was released from the hospital on Wednesday.

Roush spent six days in critical condition after suffering serious facial lacerations in a plane crash on July 28. Roush was piloting a Beechcraft Premier business jet and crash-landed at Wittman Air Field in Oshkosh, Wis.

He and passenger, Brenda Strickland, both walked away from the crash. Strickland was treated for minor injuries and released from a Wisconsin hospital the day after the accident.

"I would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and concern I have received the past two weeks," Roush said after being released from the clinic.  "Our teams and drivers have not missed a beat in my absence, and I am proud of the effort they have put forth.  I look forward to rejoining them at the track soon."

It has yet to be determined when Roush will return to the race track.
