Providence Bruins Open Up Preseason With 4-0 Win Over Worcester

The Providence Bruins opened their preseason schedule Wednesday night with a 4-0 win over the Worcester Sharks.

Yannick Riendeau led the way for the P-Bruins with a goal and two assists.

Casey Haines
, Brandon Gentile and Antoine Roussel also scored for the Bruins.

Gentile got the scoring underway at the 12:44 mark of the first period after being set up while speeding past the blue line by Riendeau. With a little more than four minutes to play in the opening period, Riendeau netted his goal.

Riendeau also assisted on Haines’ goal in the third period.

Providence goalie Matt Dalton stopped 22 shots in goal for the shutout.

The Providence Bruins wrap up their preseason schedule Saturday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass., against the Springfield Falcons. They open their regular season on Friday, Oct. 8 at 7:05 p.m. against the Falcons at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, R.I.
