How Would You Like to See Brett Favre’s Consecutive Game Streak End?

Brett Favre is on the field for the Vikings on Sunday, perhaps in spite of head coach Brad Childress’ best wishes.

Favre has repeatedly said that his injured ankle is fine and that he wouldn’t have joined the team on the trip to Gillette Stadium if he wasn’t playing.

Favre wants to be sure that his most consecutive games streak doesn’t come to an end yet. This is his 292nd consecutive start, 93 games ahead of second-place Peyton Manning.

If Favre’s injury is more serious than he’s letting on, then there’s a chance he’ll have to sit out at some point this season. Or maybe coach Childress will let Tarvaris Jackson get a shot if Favre loses another game. Or what if the NFL finds that Favre committed some kind of league ethics violation and suspends him?

Then again, Favre could make it to the end of the season and retire with his streak intact.
