Mike Lowell will be smack dab in the middle of the Red Sox lineup on the day he is set to be honored for his time with the club.

Lowell will hit fifth and play first base in the first of two games with the New York Yankees on Saturday. He is a .355 (11-for-31) hitter with five walks against Yankees lefty Andy Pettitte. A ceremony to mark "Thanks, Mike Night" will take place prior to the game and video tributes will be shown throughout the contest.

The rest of the lineup is as makeshift as they come. Darnell McDonald gets a rare start at the leadoff position. Jed Lowrie will bat second for the first time in nearly a month. Bill Hall is starting in right field for the just the fourth time all season. And Felipe Lopez will be making his second start since joining the team a week ago.

The top five batters in the Boston order are a combined 41-for-114 (.360) against Pettitte.

Here is the complete lineup for the first half of the twinbill.:

Darnell McDonald, CF
Jed Lowrie, SS
Victor Martinez, C
David Ortiz, DH
Mike Lowell, 1B
Bill Hall, RF
Daniel Nava, LF
Yamaico Navarro, 3B
Felipe Lopez, 2B
