Brett Favre has pondered retirement for years. It would be unbelievable if he never thought about or contacted Jenn Sterger after 2008; it’s not the man’s style.

A New York Post report claims that he did in fact call Sterger in June, 2009.

Favre just does not have the ability to stay away – from anything.

He allegedly again tried to contact Sterger after both had parted ways with the Jets.

"The same number that was used to send the messages in 2008 is the same one used to call Jen in 2009, when Favre was in New York to film [the HBO show] Joe Buck Live," said the source.

The NFL has not punished Favre yet; they are still waiting to speak to Sterger. Joseph Conway, her new lawyer, has been in contact with the NFL about a possible interview about Favre’s alleged sexual harassment.

However, it was reported that Sterger would decline to talk to officials if she reaches a settlement with the ol’ gunslinger.

Phil Reese, Sterger’s spokesperson, said “she is strongly considering” speaking with the NFL.
