Cory Ross was never much of a running back when he was in the Ravens' organization. But now, he's the class of the UFL.
Ross was named UFL Offensive Player of the Year after the Sacramento Mountain Lions' rusher set league records in catches (56), yards from scrimmage (878) and carries in a game (25).
Meanwhile, Las Vegas Locomotives cornerback Isaiah Trufant was named the UFL Defensive Player of the Year, and Florida Tuskers kicker Nick Novak took home the same award for special teams.
Trufant, a former Arena Football League star, set a league record with four interceptions.
Novak, who spent time in the NFL with the Redskins, Cardinals and Chiefs, set a league record with 69 points, hitting 15 of 18 field goals and converting all 24 of his extra-point attempts.
