Liverpool got bad news on Jamie Carragher on Tuesday when they found out the veteran will miss three months with a shoulder injury. It looks like the Reds will turn to 18-year-old Danny Wilson to fill in for Carragher when Liverpool take on Steaua Bucharest on Thursday.

It's quite the difference in experience as Wilson will be making just his second appearance two weeks after Carragher made his 650th appearance with the club.

According to the Guardian, Wilson will get his first chance on Thursday in Europa League action against Steaua Bucharest, before Liverpool's match on Monday with Aston Villa. Also making the start on Thursday will be Martin Kelly.

"Martin Kelly and Danny Wilson will start against Steaua Bucharest and it's a great opportunity for them to stake a claim to be in the first team," Reds manager Roy Hodgson said.

Striker Fernando Torres will not make the trip with LFC on Thursday.
