Logan Mankins Says ’32 Teams in Play’ to Sign Him This Offseason

It appears as though Logan Mankins isn't harboring any hard feelings toward the New England Patriots, but that doesn't mean he's feeling lovey-dovey enough to give them a hometown discount.

The All-Pro guard, in Hawaii for the third Pro Bowl of his six-year career, told the Boston Herald that he hasn't ruled out signing with the Patriots but that they'll have no advantage over the rest of the league.

"There’s 32 teams in play," Mankins told the Herald's Karen Guregian. "Whatever one I feel is the best situation for me."

Mankins, who's not exactly known for his candor, only said that when pressed about his status, and he said he's not spending too much time worrying about it, considering the uncertain state of the CBA.

"To tell you the truth, I haven't given it much thought right now," he told the Herald. "If there was a CBA, I'm sure I'd be thinking about it a lot more.

"Now you guys [the media] are putting all these thoughts in my head. You're ruining my vacation," he joked.
