With spring training just a little more than a month away, the Yankees still have some questions to be answered — especially when it comes to their starting rotation. Former Tigers starter Jeremy Bonderman may be one of the arms they use to try and answer those questions.

According to Fox Sports' Jon Paul Morosi, the Yankees have expressed interest in the free-agent Bonderman.

The veteran right-hander went 8-10 with a 5.33 ERA for the Tigers in 2010. Bonderman, 28, was a first-round draft pick in 2001, but has struggled some since reaching the majors, never quite developing from the top prospect he once was. He has a 67-77 career mark with a 4.89 ERA and his 1.402 WHIP isn't the stuff legends are made of, either.

The Yankees are still waiting to hear from veteran lefty Andy Pettitte, who will soon make his decision on whether or not he'll be playing in 2011.
