Boston College baseball players continue to get professional treatment.

They travel to Florida to scrimmage the Boston Red Sox every winter, and this year, they also received batting tips from Kevin Youkilis — one of the best hitters in the majors — redsox.com reports via Twitter.

Ted Williams loved to talk about hitting and share his knowledge with other players during his career, and Youkilis is carrying on the Red Sox tradition. The “Greek God of Walks” is a good teacher — he hits for average, gets on base and rakes extra-base hits.

Youkilis is feeling strong after undergoing surgery to repair a torn muscle in his right thumb last August.

“That hasn’t even come up,” infield coach Tim Bogar told The Boston Globe. “It’s not an issue.”

Youkilis is ready to roll.

“I take it like I never got hurt, so I just go out there and play,” he told the Globe. “There are no restrictions and no setbacks, so for me, it’s just about going out there and having fun and playing baseball.”
