Ryan Kesler, Kevin Bieksa, Several Other NHL Players Speak Out Against Matt Cooke's Hit Unwritten rules of hockey include provisions for speaking about players on other teams. Generally, if it's not your business, you keep your mouth shut.

So when more than a few players are willing to go on the record to condemn a certain player's actions, it speaks volumes. Such is the case with Matt Cooke.

Bruins rookie Brad Marchand was highly critical of Cooke on Monday, but he was far from alone.

TSN tracked down Clarke MacArthur, Luke Schenn, Kevin Bieksa, Ryan Kesler, Tanner Glass and Mikael Samuelsson, and they all shared similar thoughts. Even Toronto coach Ron Wilson had something to say.

Glass' statement was perhaps the most blunt.

"I thought it was dirty. It's an elbow to the head and it's a thing we're trying to rid the game of, so … dirty play," he said. "I don't know what it is with him. He just keeps doing it."
