Jason Varitek Gets First Start of Season, Carl Crawford Batting Second Against Indians

Red Sox captain Jason Varitek will get his first start of the season as the Sox take on the Indians on Wednesday night.

As for the rest of manager Terry Francona's lineup, things remain as they were prior to Tuesday night's series opener in Cleveland, as Carl Crawford (2-for-15) stays in the No. 2 hole and Dustin Pedroia (5-for-15) will once again bat third in front of Adrian Gonzalez (5-for-17).

Catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia gets his first day off after going 1-for-11 in the first four games of the season.
