Which Member of 2010 Red Sox Will You Miss Most? Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre launched a grand slam deep into the night sky in Texas on Saturday night. Undoubtedly, Red Sox fans everywhere were likely reminded of the way that Beltre punished baseballs last year in his lone season in a Red Sox uniform.

Beltre's departure was one of a few over a winter that will be looked upon more for the names that were added instead of the names that were removed.

With a not-so-subtle reminder, Beltre jarred the memories of Red Sox fans of just the type of hitter he can be. And while Beltre himself admitted that the Sox are now a better team without him, his absence can still be felt.

Victor Martinez also left over the winter, signing a new deal with the Detroit Tigers. Martinez left Boston in part to take over the catching duties for the short term in Motown. While that hasn't yet been the case — he's been the designated hitter in both Detroit losses — he made his presence felt on Saturday when he hit his first home run in a Tigers uniform.

A couple of other infielders moved on as well. Bill Hall parlayed a quietly successful 2010 campaign into a new contract with the Houston Astros. The 2010 season also marked the final season of Mike Lowell's tenure in Boston — or anywhere — as the fan favorite retired.

Perhaps the biggest loss, however, came off the field. Highly respected former pitching coach John Farrell became the latest branch in Terry Francona's coaching tree when he left the Sox to take the vacant managerial job in Toronto with the Blue Jays.
