Barry Pederson knows a thing or two about Bruins power plays as he scored 51 goals on the man-advantage in his first six seasons with the B's back in the 1980s.

Pederson, now a NESN Bruins analyst, appeared on WEEI’s Dennis and Callahan Thursday morning to discuss the Bruins' Game 6 loss in Tampa Bay and, particularly, their continued struggles with the power play.

"I woke up in the middle of the night with power play nightmares. If I slept that bad I don't know how the players got through it," Pederson said. "It's certainly become a big problem, obviously."

Pederson also addressed what he felt would be the keys to a Game 7 victory for the B's, noting that momentum and home ice will likely be of equal importance.

"The interesting thing will be: the crowd's going great, you've got the momentum and it's a good hockey game going. What happens if that first power play's a dud? I don't think the Garden crowd is just going to sit there and accept it.

"Momentum, in the playoffs, goes from game to game, shift to shift and power play to power play, and whoever can handle that adversity well will obviously be the winner."
