Liverpool Expected to Complete Charlie Adam Transfer Deal Within Two Days

After some worries of being outbid by other clubs, it looks like Charlie Adam will soon be a member of Liverpool FC.

The former Blackpool midfielder is expected to join the Reds within 48 hours on an £8 million transfer deal. It appears the only thing that could derail the deal would be a late charge by Aston Villa for Adam's services. Blackpool originally wanted £12 million for Adam, but barring an offer from Aston Villa, Liverpool's offer should be the best they get.

Manager Kenny Dalglish is not after only Adam, though. Dalglish is also making offers for Ipswich's Connor Wickham, Aston's Villa's Stewart Downing, and Arsenal's Gael Clichy.

Adam has 34 total goals in his career at Blackpool, and was nominated for the PFA Players' Player of the Year Award in April 2011.
