The Boston Bruins understand that to win their Stanley Cup series against the Vancouver Canucks, the team's going to have to win a game on the road. It appeared that the Bruins were going to get that coveted road victory, but the Canucks stormed back to win Game 2 in overtime, 3-2.
Still, there were certainly some positive things for the Bruins to focus on after their loss. Reliable goalie Tim Thomas was solid in net once again, saving 30 of 33 shots. Struggling forward Milan Lucic finally put one past Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo, and the equally-struggling power play, anchored by Mark Recchi's goal, finally came up big as well.
The Bruins were less than a minute away from overtime in Game 1 and were less than half a period away from a victory in Game 2. If the Bruins do what they're supposed to do at home, there's no doubt that the B's will give the 'Nucks a run for their money on the road.
