As is customary, the major leaguer in town for a rehab assignment bought dinner for the minor leaguers.

Red Sox left fielder Carl Crawford was responsible for feeding the Pawtucket players Friday at McCoy Stadium. Crawford, playing the first game of a two-game rehab assignment in Triple-A, footed the bill but wasn't exactly sure what he paid for.

"I don't know what they ordered," Crawford said. "I just told them to pick whatever the guys want and I'd pay for it."

The PawSox players weren't yet eating when a reporter left the clubhouse, but fortunately for Crawford it didn't look like they were preparing the spread for filet mignon and lobster.
