For ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews, the nightmare of that infamous video of her continues to live on. Whether it be from someone tweeting her about it or making a snide comment from the stands while she's working a game, she just can't seem to escape it.

On Wednesday, Andrews opened up about the issue in a Q&A interview with Marie Claire magazine. She talked about how she felt when she first heard about the video, how she's dealing with it now, and how she plans to cope with it moving forward.

One such plan includes her advocacy for a bill to strengthen laws against stalkers, which is being reintroduced to Congress.

"Yes. The laws are so outdated, and technology has just gotten better and crazier and faster," she said in the interview. "The laws need to be strengthened — they're a joke. Hopefully, we can get something done. I've brought attention to the crime. Now let's fix it."

Andrews said that her motivation for speaking out came from letters from several women who were victims to a similar crime as hers.

"They said, 'First, we want to welcome you to the sorority. But we also want to tell you to please fight this — you're our voice.' I had to," she said.
