Despite all of the optimism that surrounded labor talks on Friday, it sounds like the NFL is going to lose at least one game, albeit an exhibition game.

According to the Chicago Sun Times, the annual Hall of Fame game, scheduled for August 7 in Canton, Ohio, has been canceled. The game was supposed to be played between the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Rams.

The report cites multiple sources and indicates that the league has already notified the teams of the decision.

The vice president of communications for the Hall of Fame, Joe Horrigan, told the Sun Times that there had not been a decision made and said that "the lockout has not ended and no games have been canceled."

UPDATE: NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reported via Twitter on early Saturday morning that league representative Greg Aiello has told him that the Chicago Sun Times report is not true, and that there has been no cancellation yet.
