The Red Sox have some work to do as Terry Francona’s crew dropped its second straight series after a 4-0 loss to the Rays on Wednesday afternoon at Fenway Park.

Currently a half-game behind the Yankees in the AL East, the Sox kick off an eight-game road trip starting Thursday night in Kansas City, where Josh Beckett takes the bump against Luke Hochevar. After four tilts with the Royals, the team heads to Texas to take on the first-place Rangers.
