Top 10 Fantasy Football Sleepers Include Often Disappointing Alex Smith, Sam Bradford's Potential Go-To Target The word "sleeper" as it pertains to fantasy football has lost its meaning over the years. All too often, players get labeled a "sleeper" to the point where they can longer be considered a "sleeper."

I mean, if everybody's aware that a guy could put together a solid season, shouldn't we ditch the "sleeper" label and call him for what he is: "a player who could have a good season." Why must we continue to refer to him as a "sleeper" when everyone is aware that the player might enjoy a breakout season?

In fact, it's almost so much expected that some sleepers will have good seasons that fantasy owners reach for sleeper picks in drafts. The owners then become disappointed when those picks don't put up good numbers because they seemingly underachieved. It's really a confusing game, this fantasy football.

This season, like every other season, fantasy football gurus and casual fans alike have probably researched in order to come up with players who they think will contribute that aren't particularly well known. But, in the process, they've become more well known.

There's your Ben Tates of the world, as well as your Daniel Thomas', your Kevin Kolbs and your C.J. Spillers. But how about beyond those "sleepers?" Who lies down in the very darkness of fantasy football free agency, waiting to get scooped up after a couple of weeks on the field.

Well, why don't we venture into the world of the "deep sleepers," those who are overlooked by the overlooked (if that even makes sense)?

For the purpose of looking at the top 10 fantasy football deep sleepers who could make an impact before long, only those owned in less than a quarter of Yahoo! leagues were taken into consideration.
