Liverpool Boss Kenny Dalglish Praises the Reds' Performance after Mersyside Derby Victory (Video) After Saturday's 2-0 derby victory over Everton, much of the talk surrounded Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell's controversial 23rd minute dismissal. Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish preferred to focus on the positive aspects of his team's 2-0 victory over their local rivals.

He also defended the much-scrutinized Andy Carroll. Dalglish said the burly striker's Liverpool career is off to a fine start and that he didn't need a derby goal to justify his place in the team or his £35 million ($54.7 million) price.
