Next time you see a rival team's star on your scoreboard, you might want to think twice before booing. They might be speaking as part of an anti-cancer campaign by the league.

Unfortunately, Philadelphia Flyers fans chose to boo first and ask questions later when Sidney Crosby, Jonathan Toews and Ryan Miller popped up on the team's video board, according to Puck Daddy.

"Tough crowd in Philly," tweeted the Vancouver Sun's Iain MacIntyre. "Crosby, Toews and Miller get booed during hockey-fights-cancer ad on the jumbotron."

The video is a part of the NHL's Hockey Fights Cancer ad campaign that asks fans to donate $5 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by texting "HFC" to 90999.

In another video the league produced, Dion Phaneuf, Mike Cammaleri and Crosby are featured. The Flyers should think about showing that one next time, although it seems showing Crosby is inescapable.

A copy of the video shown is below, from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's YouTube page.
