The announcement that Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno was fired effective immediately has generated a huge response. But Paterno's reaction was a bit odd.

Paterno appeared outside his home, saying that he wanted to say hello to all of the great students that he loved. He also told those in attendance to "get a good night sleep" and "study," while insisting "we've still got things to do."

Considering the ongoing rowdy behavior in State College, Penn., it's doubtful that they'll get a good night sleep.
