Martin Kelly Scores For England U-21s Against Iceland (Video)Martin Kelly hasn’t seen much playing time for Liverpool in recent weeks. The young defender’s lack of action didn’t hold him back against his peers, as he scored in England U-21s 5-0 win over Iceland.

Kelly played in the heart of the England defence, but his goal showed his prowess at the other end of the field. He took a loose ball, beat two challenges and drove his shot past the goalkeeper to the near post. The 57th minute strike put England ahead by two goals.

Reds’ midfielder Jordan Henderson also featured in the win. He captained the team and set up Marvin Sordell’s opener in the 39th minute.

The win was the fourth in a row for England’s U-21 team. It looks like a good bet to qualify for the 2013 European Championships for the age group.
