The Florida Marlins will become the Miami Marlins on Friday night, complete with a face-lift that will also come with a new stadium and a new logo with new uniforms. Apparently, they're trying hard to overhaul their roster as well.

Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported Friday via Twitter that the Marlins have given "substantial offers" to free agentsAlbert Pujols and Jose Reyes.

It's the latest show of aggression in the young offseason from the Fish. They've also already reportedly offered free-agent pitcher Mark Buehrle a deal.

Pujols, considered by many as the game's best player, is coming off of his second World Series win with the St. Louis Cardinals. Meanwhile, Reyes had another impressive year in the final year of his contract with the Mets.

If the Marlins were to sign Reyes, it would make for an interesting shortstop scenario in Miami. Current shortstopHanley Ramirez signed a six-year extension in 2008.

The Marlins already have a new manager in place, as Ozzie Guillen left Chicago to join the Marlins toward the end of the 2011 season.
