Tim Howard is known worldwide for his ability to keep balls out of his own net. His latest notoriety comes from putting a ball in the net — of his opposition.

Howard became the fourth goalie in English Premier League history to score a goal during a game on Wednesday when he gave Everton a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute against Bolton Wanderers. The U.S. keeper became the second American keeper to score in an EPL game.

Unfortunately for Howard and Everton, however, Bolton stormed back to win the match 2-1 behind goals from former Liverpool forward David Ngog and Gary Cahill.
