David Beckham didn’t come to America just to play Major League Soccer. He was also attracted by the the weather, Hollywood lifestyle and countless opportunities to sell products.
Since joining the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007, Beckham has made millions of dollars in endorsements. His MLS contract expired at the end of 2011, but he re-upped with the league for two more years. It lets him continue to compete on the field and off it.
His latest commercial endeavour sees him pushing smoothies for fast food giant Burger King.
Beckham orders a smoothie from a young, female admirer. Her fawning forces the manager to intervene, but he too falls under the pop icon’s spell.
Can we just go ahead and make Beckham the new James Bond already? Or is it too soon to be talking about that stuff?
