Los Angeles Dodgers Honor Los Angeles Angels Manager With Bobblehead2012 marks the 50th anniversary of Dodger Stadium, which, at this point, is the third-oldest stadium in Major League Baseball behind Wrigley Field and, of course, Fenway Park.

To celebrate, the Los Angeles Dodgers are harkening back throughout their history in California, including special events, giveaways and merchandise. Even the Beach Boys showed up to opening day to sing the National Anthem and join in the festivities.

Included in the promotional schedule for the Dodgers is a series of bobblehead giveaways featuring Dodger luminaries from their time in Los Angeles — including Vin Scully, Fernando Valenzuela, and even Eric Karros. But one of the bobbleheads not only seems a little odd, but will also be distributed on a very fortuitous night.

For Tuesday night's game, the Dodgers will be giving away Mike Scioscia bobbleheads, honoring the catcher who spent 13 seasons in Dodger blue. Scioscia will even be around to take part in the festivities — as manager of the visiting Los Angeles Angels.

While it's absolutely apropriate for the Dodgers to honor Scioscia, who helped the team to World Series titles in 1981 and 1988, it has to feel a little awkward in Chavez Ravine, as the Angels' increasing success and marketing strategies have created a relatively new, but intense, rivalry between the two Southern California clubs.

Plus, when was the last time a bobblehead was dedicated to someone in the visiting dugout?
