Usain Bolt Declares Himself 'Greatest Athlete to Live' After Capturing Gold in 200 MetersAll hail Usain Bolt.

The Jamaican sprinter has always been a confident competitor, but he took things a step further on Thursday after winning the 200 meters in London, claiming he's above the rest when it comes to the world's great athletes.

"I did what I wanted. I came out of a rough season and it's what I came here to do," Bolt said after the victory. "I'm now a legend, I'm also the greatest athlete to live. I am in the same category as Michael Johnson. I'm honored. I grew up watching him break world records. He's a great athlete.

"The 200 [meters] was harder than I expected. I could feel the pressure coming off the bend and that's when I had to focus. I've got nothing left to prove. I've showed the world I'm the best. This is my moment. You can stop talking now, I'm a living legend."

Well, Bolt made the leap from impressive Olympian to global icon long ago. But by winning both the 100 meters and 200 meters in London, a feat he also accomplished in Beijing in 2008, it's becoming harder and harder to doubt his greatness.
