Patriots Make Four Proposals To Be Discussed At NFL Annual Meeting

Bill BelichickThe New England Patriots want to see some changes in the NFL.

The Patriots made four proposals to be discussed at the NFL annual meeting, according to multiple reports.

The Patriots want the line of scrimmage moved back to the 25-yard line on extra-point attempts, goalposts to be raised by five feet on each side, fixed cameras on all boundary lines to make instant replay reviews easier and coaches to be able to challenge all calls but scoring plays.

The goalpost height proposal likely stems from a controversial field goal made by Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker at the end of the Patriots’ Week 3 loss in 2012. The kick went over the goalposts, so it was difficult for the officials to determine if it went through the uprights.
