Report: Dolphins Could Fire Some Coaches If Team Loses To Jets In London

There’s reportedly more than a game on the line for multiple Miami Dolphins coaches this weekend.

If Miami falls to 1-3 with a loss to the New York Jets on Sunday in London, the organization is considering making changes to its coaching staff, sources told NFL Media’s Rand Getlin.

“If the team loses three in a row, don’t be shocked if someone on that coaching staff gets fired,” a source told Getlin.

The Dolphins came into 2015 with high hopes, especially after signing defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. But the results just haven’t been there.

Miami squeaked by the Washington Redskins in Week 1 but followed that with back-to-back losses to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills.

“We’ve been going out there, and practicing our (tails) off every day, but as players, we’re tired of being embarrassed,” a member of the Dolphins told NFL Media. “If we get beat in Europe, (players) are going to throw in the towel. It isn’t the players. We have all the talent in the world.”

Another loss in Week 4 could spell disaster for the coaches, as players already are questioning their play calls on offense and defense, according to the report. A sign of this dissatisfaction with coach Joe Philbin’s staff came last Sunday when Suh reportedly ignored defensive play calls against the Jaguars.

It’s not a pretty scene in Miami and people could start losing their jobs as a result.
