When it came to Johnny Manziel, the Republican presidential candidate missed on his analysis by just a little bit. OK, a lot bit.
The Internet on Friday had a field day with a May 2014 tweet from Trump, who lamented teams for passing on Manziel in the 2014 NFL Draft.
The reason the Internet is crushing Trump for that take, of course, is the Browns released Manziel on Friday after two awful seasons riddled by injury, off-the-field issues and poor play.
We probably should mention that you can do this with anyone’s tweets, and Trump certainly wasn’t the only person wrong about Manziel. But there’s no debating that Manziel certainly didn’t do anything to make Cleveland great.
